Megan Slankard released her first album when she was only 18 and it garnered her a fair amount of media attention and accolades, but paled in comparison to when her second album was featured on an episode of TLC's What Not To Wear. Instantly, Freaky Little Story (2003) became a hit and viewers of the show made the record reach the top five of the Amazon.com sales charts. Slankard's sound grows bigger and more polished with each record she releases, partially due to a partnership with David Bryson--her producer and guitarist for the group Counting Crows.
