Jakes

Jakes is a dubstep producer based out of Bristol, England who along with his collective, H.E.N.C.H. has been creating a jungle and drum & bass infused take on the genre since 2008. His tendency to use breakbeat rythms and pull inspiration from hip-hop and pop gives him an identifiable voice that some feel betrays dubstep's framework. Fans of the genre looking to blur some lines between styles, however, will appreciate Jakes multifaceted approach.
