After The Clash kicked guitarist and singer Mick Jones out of the band in 1983 Jones went on to found Big Audio Dynamite, a band that took some of The Clash's later inclinations towards dub and reggae to another level, even incorporating funk and hip-hop into some of their music as well. Big Audio Dynamite (BAD) went through various incarnations and members; the band was called Big Audio Dynamite II and simply Big Audio at various points in the band's career.
