Florida-based alternative rock band Anberlin has eclipsed the pop sphere by designing tight, memorable hooks to match the group's equally focused guitar arrangements. Anberlin write a lot of their songs about love and loss, particularly women who don't understand what their men or visa versa. Anberlin sometimes depart from some their pop rock contemporaries by employing more unusual production techniques or rhythmic sequences that break-up the verse/chorus/verse/chorus formula.
