Australian singer/songwriter Paul Dempsey writes mellow alternative rock tunes that are brought to life by his melancholy, yet endearing, lyrics. Once the front man of the popular 1990s Australian rock band Something for Kate, Dempsey started to feel the strains of group confinement after about a decade with the band and decided to attempt his own musical endeavors. His first solo LP, Everything is True, was released in 2009 to generally positive acclaim and it helped further solidify Dempsey's reputation as one of Australia's premier soft rock exports.
