Jay Jay Johanson

Combining chilled trip-hop, live instrumentation and intricate drum patterns, Jay Jay Johanson's version of electronic music favors melancholic lyrics and ambient atmospheres over pulsing, club-friendly beats. Since 1996, the Swedish musician has been releasing albums full of pensive melodies and mellow jazz-influenced tracks, while also deciding to expand his palette to incorporate slightly more aggressive, electroclash tendencies. Johanson's career has led to opportunities to work with some renowned electronic pop artists, such as Cocteau Twins co-founder, Robin Guthrie.
