Considered by some to be simply an experimental noise-rock band, a more fitting classification for Brooklyn-based Parts & Labor might be noise-pop. The three-piece creates anthemic indie rock songs with discernible and catchy hooks, and then adds layers of frenetic chaos to the mix. Synthesizer squeals weave in and out, guitar pedals make all kinds of crazy racket and drummer Joe Wong pounds out quick, math-y drum patterns, all of which add to the band's unique sound.
