Julie Doiron

With her gentle voice and guitar playing coupled alongside earnest, heart-on-sleeve lyrics, Canadian singer/songwriter, Julie Doiron, has enjoyed a steadily successful musical career. Beginning to play bass and guitar around the age of 18 in the '90s alt-rock band, Eric's Trip, Doiron eventually split off on her own, releasing well-received albums for the Sub Pop label. Her folky tales of love and heartbreak drip with reflective sadness, yet still retain a strong sense of melody and what makes for a good pop song.
