Frog Eyes are a Canadian rock group that released its debut record The Bloody Hand in 2002, a year after the band formed. The only member who has remained constant since the band's formation has been lead singer Carey Mercer, who's strange cartoonish-like singing style is instantly recognizable to those familiar with his voice. The group makes music that is best described as extremely dramatic garage rock, since songs generally build up into huge crescendos where Mercer almost sounds like he's popping out of his skin.
