Multi-talented and highly procreative, Los Angeles-based musician ASKA was initially trained as a classical pianist. Prone to exploration, however, she began performing sound art at various galleries around the world with the group The Sads. The musician is also credited with arranging pieces for the LA Ladies Choir and scoring a short film by Spike Jonze. As a solo artist, ASKA creates delicate dream pop with vocals so fragile they sound as though they will break at any instant. Her debut solo album was released in early 2011 and boasted collaborations with members of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lucky Dragons and others.
