Formed in 2006, Cocoon is a French songwriting duo that specializes in building sparse folk-pop songs, oftentimes with full orchestration accompaniments. Singers Mark Daumail and Morgane Imbeaud sing in English and manage to pull off some stunning harmonies that have gone on to receive the duo recognition. The band's 2007 debut album My Friends all Died in a Plane Crash went platinum in France and when playing the band is occasionally known to bring out a large ensemble of musicians on stage who play piano, keyboard, cello, guitar, stand-up bass and various brass instruments.
