After spending a few hours on an uneventful Sunday with a synthesizer, Quentin Dupieux (or, as he is commonly referred to, Mr. Ozio) managed to make a song that would go on to establish the French electronic producer as one of the more interesting figures to track on the electronic music scene. After the massive success of this song, Depieux decided to hole himself up in a studio for two months to record his debut LP. The album was recorded using entirely analog equipment and further helped solidify Dupieux's reputation as an electronic musician who's unafraid to try new things and experiment with sound, with the ultimate goal of creating interesting and extremely listenable house-tinged electro. Though he has moved away from using analog equipment - now preferring to use computer song writing programs - Dupieux's sound is still innovative and characteristically French.
