London via Toronto trio Hounds of Hate splices samples of Peter Gabriel with samples of Burial, but distorts them to the degree that everything is haze. Popular at London warehouse parties where the audience is content to zone out, entranced by the music, rather than feel the need to dance to it, the group has built a niche for itself amongst a mellow crowd. While the music the group produces might not have the most exciting sound, it holds the listener's attention - even the band members admit to being entranced during their performances and forget to stop when their set time is up. The group primarily plays shows in London, but occasionally tours alongside bigger acts like Caibou and Toro y Moi.
