Mark Knopfler

Despite a rabid fan base and substantial success, Mark Knopfler has remained humble and appreciative of the notoriety he has received. Originally attaining success in the late 1970s and 1980s with the rock band Dire Straits, the talented guitar player split from the group and went on to start a solo career. Throughout his storied life, Knopfler has collaborated with several prominent musicians including Bob Dylan, Bryan Ferry and Eric Clapton.
