Best friends since they first met in 6th grade, Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix
 Point Never and Joel Ford
and of Tigercity devoted years to their solo careers, building names for themselves on the underground electronica scene. In 2010, the two friends decided to fulfill their childhood plans and start a band together. They subsequently moved to Bushwick, New Jersey, began growing their own vegetables and experimenting with synths. The result was Games, an electronica act that meshes downtempo beats, 80s inspired synth-work and, fittingly, video game bit-pop.
