Alina Orlova is a young Lithuanian singer/songwriter who sings not only in her native tongue, but also in English and Russian. Most often, her songs are comprised of her poetically cryptic lyrics set atop short and pensive minor key piano chords. She's also been known to put her own unique stamp on other band's songs and was first noticed on a relatively large scale by Francis Healy, lead singer of the Brit-pop band, Travis. Orlova has already made a splash in Lithuania--where she's also known for her painting and photography--and seems to be on track to soon find fans from other pockets of the globe.
