When Cage formed in San Diego in the early 1990s the band was little more than a group of five guys who liked to hang out and jam to heavy metal. But as this group of So Cal metal-heads started playing more, and honing their musical approach, people started to take notice and in 1999 the band won a competition that featured 600 other unsigned metal acts. Wining this event gave the band an opportunity to play prestigious festivals and spend time in the studio recording material and further sharpening their heavy instrumental technique. Now, as the band of veteran rockers continue to release interesting material and tour the globe, impressing fans of hard rock, the five guys from San Diego have earned a well respected sport in the modern hard rock scene.
