Bruce Springsteen

Now widely seen as a modern rock laureate, the New Jersey-born artist Bruce Springsteen got his start in the music business in 1969 but is best known for his work in the late 1970s and 1980s. While developing his style in the early 1970s, Springsteen sang about the Jersey Shore and the boardwalk lifestyle, often filling his music with poetic lyrics and American sentiments.
