A Life In The Theatre is a meta-theatrical play written by David Mamet in 1977. The play follows the gradually changing relationship between two actors as they work together in multiple stage productions throughout the play. One actor is embarking on a promising career in theater, while the other is a stage veteran who is jealous of the younger actor's bright future as his own career heads into its twilight.
