9 to 5

Based on the smash-hit 1980 movie of the same name, 9 to 5 opened on Broadway in 2009 for a whole new generation of audiences looking to relive the film on stage. The story follows the lives of three working women who wage a war against the often chauvinistic and sexist company management they work for. The music and lyrics were composed by the original diva of country music herself, Dolly Parton, who manages to deftly capture the spirit of the film in this brand new musical production that has already garnered several Tony Award nominations.
