The Color Purple

Based on Alice Walker's epistolary novel, The Color Purple the musical follows the life of a Celie, a young woman living in the rural Southern United States during the first half of the 20th Century. Celie endures abuse and neglect from those closest to her, but the web of interconnections that make up her life play out upon the stage as she grows into a woman and closer to her family.
