The story of Big Sean's break into the hip-hop world reads like every struggling rapper's dream. At just 17-years old in 2005, he ran down to the local radio station after hearing hip-hop mogul Kanye West was soon to be arriving for an interview. Determined to show off his skills and get his demo into the hands of such a high-profile artist, Big Sean tracked West down and impressed him with a freestyle demonstration that showcased his loose and casual flow. West repaid in kind by signing Big Sean to his label two years later. Now recording for legendary Def Jam Records, he's slowly but surely making a name for himself.
