The Warlocks

The Warlocks lead singer, Bobby Hecksher, is the kind of guy who seems predetermined to wind up in a rock band. By his late teens and early twenties, Hecksher was schmoozing and recording in Los Angeles with the likes of Beck, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and LSD godfather, Timothy Leary. Around 1999, he began to piece together his own band, and after working through 19 members, the lineup was ultimately slimmed down to its current seven-piece format. The Warlocks utilizes four guitarists and two drummers to create a pounding, hazy and enormously heavy blend of indie/punk rock and neo-psychedelia.
