Van Der Graaf Generator is an English progressive rock band formed in 1967. Unlike many of the progressive rock acts that arose in the wake of this group's inception, Van Der Graaf Generator never got the foothold it needed to become a widespread success. Despite Van Der Graaf's fluctuating popularity, it has not kept the band from successfully reuniting once in the 70s and once again in 2005 - with performances still going on to this day.
