Christina Stürmer

Even though she came in second in the Austrian singing competition Starmania in 2003, Christina Stürmer's career quickly eclipsed the gentleman who actually came in first. While on the show, Stürmer proved she had a versatile voice but, since coming off Starmaina, she has focused on a creating a rough-edged rock sound that compliments her powerful pipes. The combination of her TV celebrity and the string of top-selling albums she released afterward has gained her widespread celebrity in both Germany and in her native Austria.
