Though the shoegaze genre peaked in the late 80s, there are still a few musicians out there who feel the need to form shoegaze bands. Though the style of music often panders for attention from individuals who like listening to melancholy material, some bands create a synthesis of shoegaze – blending modern elements of electronic composition and indie rock – to spawn a rather interesting style of music that fits fairly snugly within today’s multifaceted music scene. One of these groups is the British-American band SPC ECO (pronounced Space Echo). Formed in 2007, the group has managed to spend a dutiful amount of time in the recording studio and also on the stage, where audiences can be properly exposed to the band’s impressive live show.
