The Lovin' Spoonful

With a sound that is described by the band's leader, John Sebastian, as being a mix of "Mississippi John Hurt and Chuck Berry," this 60s pop-rock band out of New York's Greenwich Village reunited in the mid-90s to perform its timeless music to audiences of fans both new and old. Perhaps best known for the hit single "Do You Believe in Magic," the influence the band had on modern rock and roll prompted The Lovin' Spoonful to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
