Swedish five-piece Constancia refers to itself as a progressive/metal band. After listening to its music, however, it seems the songs have much more in common with 80s American hard rock than much of anything in the current metal landscape. Brawny guitar riffs, arena rock solos and cheesy lyrics sung via over the top wails will no doubt strike a chord with fans of fist-pumping 80s rock groups like Survivor and Night Ranger.
