Verdena

It's a damned shame that the predominant language of popular music is English. It inhibits a lot of talented musicians from breaking big and further reinforces the jingoistic mentality of the music industry. The Italian alternative rock group Verdena is just as talented as any American or English groups but because the band sings in Italian, it has not been recognized outside of its home country. The group formed in 1996 and by pulling strong influences from several grunge acts, Verdena established itself as a premier rock outfit with wailing guitars, throbbing drums and screeching vocals.
