Das doppelte Lottchen, or Lottie and Lisa, is a comedic tale of two twin girls, who after being unknowingly separated at birth, randomly meet one another at a summer camp. They soon learn that they'd never known of one another due to their parents divorcing and raising each girl separately. To teach them a lesson, both girls return home from camp with the wrong family, leading the parents to piece it all together and eventually rediscover their love for one another. The story was based on a 1949 novel by German author Erich Kastner and served as the inspiration for both film versions of The Parent Trap.
