Polkadot Stingray is a rock band hailing from Fukuoka, Japan, established in 2014. The original lineup featured Shizuku on vocals and guitar, Muro on guitar, and Kazuma Mitsuyasu on drums, with bassist Yuki Uemura joining later. Following Muro's exit, Harushi Ejima was brought in as the new guitarist. The band first garnered attention with their single "Yoake no Orange" in 2015 and their EP Honenuki EP in 2016. Their major label debut occurred in 2017 with the release of Dai-Seigi, which was succeeded by the album Zenchizennō. Renowned for their dynamic rock sound and contributions to anime, they performed the ending themes for both Radiant and Godzilla Singular Point. Their discography features significant albums such as Uchōten (2019) and Odoru yō ni (2022), along with chart-topping singles like "Himitsu" (2018). Their lively performances and diverse musical style have established them as a key player in the Japanese rock landscape.
