King Gnu, established in 2013 in Japan, is comprised of Daiki Tsuneta (vocals/guitar), Satoru Iguchi (vocals/keyboard), Kazuki Arai (bass), and Yu Seki (drums). Originally named Mrs.Vinci and subsequently Srv.Vinci, the group rebranded as King Gnu in 2017. Their inaugural album under this new identity, titled Tokyo Rendez-Vous, was launched in the same year. The band achieved considerable success with their 2019 single "Hakujitsu" and their album Ceremony (2020), which reached the top of the charts and sold over a million copies globally. They are recognized for their innovative fusion of musical genres and prominent collaborations, including anime themes such as "Boy" for Ranking of Kings and "Ichizu" and "Sakayume" for Jujutsu Kaisen 0. King Gnu has received numerous accolades, including MTV Japan Video Music Awards, and has formed a partnership with Red Bull. Their most recent album, The Greatest Unknown, was released in November 2023.
