Raftaar, whose real name is Dilin Nair, was born on November 16, 1988, in Trivandrum, Kerala. He is recognized as an Indian rapper, lyricist, dancer, and television personality. He began his career as a dancer before transitioning into rap in 2008, collaborating with Lil Golu and Ikka. Subsequently, he became a member of Yo Yo Honey Singh's group, Mafia Mundeer, but departed due to creative disagreements. Raftaar rose to fame with his 2013 hit single "Swag Mera Desi," which earned the title of Best Urban Song at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards. He has worked with various artists, including Badshah, and signed with Manj Musik’s label. In addition to his music career, Raftaar has contributed to Bollywood by producing songs for films such as Heropanti and Baaghi. He has also served as a judge on popular reality shows like MTV Hustle and Dance India Dance. Raftaar married Komal Vohra in 2016, but their divorce was finalized in 2022. His discography features albums such as Zero to Infinity (2018) and Mr. Nair (2020).
