Rosie Jones is a British comedian and actor. The Bridlington-native started her career in 2011 as a researcher for a disability training scheme. Despite working on several shows as a TV researcher, she struggled to get work in the following years. She then switched focus to screenwriting and started a class at the National Film and Television School in Buckinghamshire. She was recognized for her skills as a comedy writer and went on to reach the finals of the Funny Women Awards in 2016, find a spot on "Comedians to Look Out For" lists and win awards. Wanting to make people laugh and create awareness about her motor disability, she decided to give stand-up comedy a chance. She quickly rose through the ranks and is today a well-established stand-up performer in her own right. She has graced the stage at the Edinburgh Film Festival, created her own solo shows and has been featured on numerous comedy podcasts.
