Fujiya & Miyago is a four-piece based out of Brighton, England with a name that allows the band to "pretend to be Japanese," drawing its name from The Karate Kid and a Japanese electronics brand. Despite the band's Japanese name, it doesn't make Asian influenced music, but instead creates dark electro-tinged krautrock, full of quirky lyrics. Though the band was formed in 2000, it existed in relative obscurity until 2006, when it began receiving positive reviews on the blogosphere, eventually landing its song "Collarbone" in commercials for Jaguar and Miller Lite in 2007.
