Jack Donoghue and John Holland make up the American band Salem. Formed in 2008 by Holland, Donoghue and former member Heather Marlatt, it is touted by many as a pioneer of the witch house genre. The band made its debut in 2010 with the album King Night. Featuring songs like the titular "King Night" and "Trapdoor," it did well commercially and critically, and was included in numerous year-end lists. Salem's next release, the EP I'm Still in the Night, hit the shelves in 2011. Following an almost decade-long absence from the music scene, the band returned in 2020 with the album Fires in Heaven. Some of Salem's most popular songs are "Redlights," "Sick," "Frost" and "Starfall."
