RRIICCEE began as the collaborative effort between actor/director Vincent Gallo and Eric Erlandson, founder and guitarist of the grunge band Hole. Formed in 2007, the duo soon embarked on a US tour, which included a rotating cast of players and consisted of pure on-stage improvisation. The group, which after the first tour became the sole project of Gallo and began including backing members that Gallo chose and dropped on a whim, does not record any albums nor play any repeated material from show to show. RRIICCEE could best be described as an experimental jam band made up of eccentrics and could disappear just as quickly as it formed.
