Higher Brothers

The Higher Brothers are a hip-hop group from Chengdu, China that has managed to achieve crossover success with Western audiences. Performing in Mandarin and Sichuanese, the Higher Brothers oftentimes fill their songs with bawdy lyrics that celebrate niche elements of Chinese culture. The group released its debut album, Black Cab, in 2017 and since then the group has managed to avoid the strict Chinese government censorship of music artists while at the same time building an ever growing fan base.
