Known fondly as “The Robins”, Newtown A.F.C. is a football club that is one of the contenders in the Cymru Premier which is the highest level of professional football in Wales. It was established in 1875, and uses Latham Park as its home ground. Being one of the oldest clubs in Wales, it is a charter member of the Cymru Premier as well as the Football Association of Wales. In its long and illustrious history, the club has won honors such as the Welsh Cup, Welsh Amateur Cup and is a two-time runner-up in the League of Wales.
