This NBA G-League team is named after General ‘Mad’ Anthony Wayne, defender of the city which was named after him as well. Previously, the Mad Ants had been affiliated with several NBA teams, most notably the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic. The club beat the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2014 for the G-League title and in 2015, it signed on again with the Indiana Pacers as their junior club. The squad takes the court at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum which holds a capacity of 13,000.
