Southend United F.C. is a football club that competes in the EFL League Two. Nicknamed as “The Shrimpers”, it was established in 1906 and uses the Roots Hall Stadium as its home ground. The 2005-06 EFL League One and the Football League Fourth Division title of 1980-81remain the club’s crowning achievements. Despite being runners-up on three occasions, the EFL Trophy has remained elusive.
