Sunderland AFC, established in 1879 plays in the EFL League one, the English third tier league, however in the past, this team from the Newcastle and Wear metropolitan region has won six First-Division titles as well as two FA Cups. The club has many nicknames, the ‘Mackems’, ‘Lads’ and ‘Rokermen’ to name a few, but almost all supporters wear the official Black Cat team logo to games held at the 49,000 seat Stadium of Light. As the team is based in England’s North East region, naturally the club’s rival is Newcastle United.
