Known affectionately as “Çotanaklar”, Giresunspor is a football club from Giresun that was formed in 1967. It competes in the TFF 1. Lig and uses the Giresun Atatürk Stadium as its home ground. It has also featured in the Turkish Super League in its past from 1971 to 1977 and since then the quest to return to its former glory has continued.
