The journey of the Turkish football club, Manisaspor, began in 1931 when it was formed as Sakaryaspor. During the initial years of its history, it established itself as a worthy contender in the game by winning many competitions such as Manisa Amateur League and more. But World War 2 brought a stop to its activities and it had to wait till 1946 to spring back into action. It donned its current name in 1965. It is based in the city of Manisa and uses the Manisa 19 Mayıs Stadium for its home games. The club, which is also referred to as “Tarzanlar” by its fans, competes in the TFF Second League.
