When Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox began making music as a child, under the Atlas Sound moniker, all he had were a pair of tape decks and a microphone. He would record different noises, loop them and then add his voice over the mix to create a fairly eerie combination of sounds. Continuing to make music, Cox's set up is a bit more advanced now, but his amalgamation of sound style is intact and his stream-of-consciousness electro rock continues to push the bounds of modern indie music.
