Pedro Manuel Guerra Mansito, born on June 2, 1966, in Güímar, Tenerife, is a distinguished Spanish singer-songwriter celebrated for his distinctive fusion of Canarian folk, contemporary popular music, Latin American sounds, and North African influences. He embarked on his musical career at the age of 16 and, by 18, had co-founded Taller Canario de Canción with other musicians. In 1993, Guerra relocated to Madrid, initiating a solo career that included collaborations with prominent artists such as Ana Belén and Joaquín Sabina. His inaugural solo album, Golosinas (1995), was succeeded by a series of critically acclaimed works, including Mararía (1998), which garnered the Best Film Score award from the Spanish Music Academy. Guerra's body of work features albums like Raíz (1999) and Alma mía (2009), reflecting his artistic evolution. In 2022, he took part in a benefit concert for the victims of the volcanic eruption in La Palma. He continues to be a significant figure in the Spanish music scene.
