Alex Maniak, who performs and releases music as Shortly, is a singer/songwriter from Detroit who creates doleful, instrumentally sparse pop songs. Since releasing her debut EP, Richmond, in 2018, Maniak has managed to build a solid reputation for herself as a musician whose capable of writing heartfelt songs that are genuine and void of condescension.
