Wilderado is an indie folk band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, formed by Max Rainer and Tyler Wimpee. The duo began their musical journey by composing songs together during their college years and officially debuted with their first EP, Misty Shrub, in 2016. After signing with Bright Antenna Records, they gained significant recognition with their second EP, Latigo, which achieved millions of streams. The band has toured extensively alongside notable acts such as Band of Horses and Judah & The Lion, establishing a strong foothold in the indie music landscape. In 2021, they released their inaugural full-length album, Wilderado, followed by the EP Talker in 2024. Their television debut occurred on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2022, and they also performed on CBS Saturday Morning later that same year. With popular tracks like "Surefire" and "Take Some Time," their music seamlessly fuses folk elements with contemporary indie sounds. The band's name is derived from the town of Wildorado, Texas, which they discovered during their travels.
