Ripe is a Boston-based band that makes an insouciant style of music that's tough not to enjoy. Blending together elements of funk, rock and pop and whipping up a listener-friendly sonic stew, Ripe's characteristically carefree style of music is a rare commodity on today's oftentimes crepuscular and moody music scene. Ripe released its debut EP, Release the Juice, in 2013 and though the group has continued to release additional material Ripe has primarily built its reputation on the back of its live shows, that feature a band with natural stage presence and impressive musicality.
