Viva Suecia is an indie rock band from Spain, established in 2013 in Murcia. The band draws significant influence from Swedish post-rock, reflecting the musical preferences of their drummer, Fernando Campillo. Their inaugural EP, titled Viva Suecia, was launched in 2014 under the production of Paco Román. The group swiftly garnered attention, leading to a contract with Subterfuge Records for the release of their debut album, La Fuerza Mayor, in 2016. Their following albums, Otros Principios Fundamentales (2017) and El Milagro (2019), were met with critical praise, with El Milagro achieving the second position in sales and prompting a nationwide tour. In 2022, they unveiled El Amor de la Clase Que Sea, which included collaborations with notable artists such as Luz Casal and Leiva. The band continues to progress, recently releasing the single "Últimas Voluntades" for a film soundtrack. The current lineup consists of Rafa Val, Alberto Cantúa, Jess Fabric, and Fernando Campillo, affirming their status in the modern Spanish rock landscape.
